Minelli Clements
CEO
Minelli Clements grew her career in telecommunications working for Shaw communication with teams focused on large scale connectivity solutions. Although she has an avid interest in science and technology, her passion is with the environment and conservation. The two paths crossed while volunteering for a conservation agency in her home province of Alberta, where she noticed researchers had to manually retrieve data from sensors placed in wildlife corridors. Minelli saw a need for a solution that can help these agencies connect to valuable data in order to preserve natural environments. She founded Lorcan Technologies Inc. in 2019 and has since been the recipient of the 2021 France Chamber of Commerce Ontario Entrepreneur of the Year, an inaugural member of Communitech's Fierce Founder Uplift cohort, and a proud member of 2020 EarthTech Accelerator through Centre for Social Innovation.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Calgary in Law and Society, bridged with Accounting and Finance and is a recent graduate of the University of Waterloo’s Master of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology (MBET). She is a member of Women in Communications and Technology and continues to volunteer and speak out for organizations focusing on the environment, diversity and inclusion.
